US GP recap

Whilst Ferrari faltered Mercedes were flawless as they sealed a 1-2 in the US GP. Bottas did all he could in the championship fight by winning the race but Hamilton did what was required to seal his 6th world title with second in the race. The British driver has had an incredible season and to win the title with 2 races to spare is testament to his quality and consistency. The final podium spot was taken by Verstappen who was hot on the heels of Hamilton with different strategies in play but couldn't got close enough to try a move. Further down the order the battle between Renault and McLaren continued with Ricciardo and Hulkenberg either side of the McLaren sandwich! Norris outscored Sainz for the first time since Sinagpore.

Top 10 - 1. Bottas, 2. Hamilton, 3. Verstappen, 4. Leclerc, 5. Albon, 6. Ricciardo, 7. Norris, 8. Sainz, 9. Hulkenberg, 10. Perez

Brazilian GP

Last year Hamilton inherited the win after race leader Verstappen came together with then Force India driver Ocon when he was going to lap the French driver. Away from the spotlight Raikkonen claimed what would be his final time on the podium in a Ferrari. Now that both championships are sealed who will emerge victorious with the pressure off?

2019 podium predicition - 1. Hamilton, 2. Verstappen, 3. Bottas

Fantasy Game

Bottas was the only driver to break into the 300s this round thanks to his race victory which saw him earn a total of 306 points. Despite being the least selected driver from the 'big 6' he proved once more to be good value for money for the 173 players who picked him. It was closely packed after the Finnish driver with Hamilton leading the next group on 186 points with Leclerc next on 181 and Verstappen a further 10 behind. In the midfield Perez kept the McLaren and Renault drivers honest by splitting them straight down the middle, with Ricciardo and Norris just ahead but Sainz and Hulkenberg in behind. All 5 of these drivers were separated by a mere 36 points. Who will you back to end the season on a high? My tips - Verstappen (£12.79M), Albon (£9.92M), Perez (£8.66M). For the bonus scores the winning margin was 5 seconds or less, there were 7 drivers on the lead lap, Vettel was the first retirement and Red Bull had the quickest pit stop.

Mexico GP recap

In a track that hasn't suited Mercedes Hamilton showed his champion qualities and defied the odds to come out on top. He came back against the Ferraris who locked out the front row but a different strategy and excellent tyre management proved decisive in turning the race in his favour. Vettel had no answer in the latter stages and had to settle for second whilst Bottas came home in third. Further down home favourite Perez had a fine race to finish best of the rest in 7th place. Both Renaults got into the points, with Ricciardo 8th and Hulkenberg 10th, whilst it was a race to forget for McLaren with Sainz struggling after his pit stop and ending up 13th whilst Norris had his race ruined after a pit stop blunder saw him to the back of the grid before he eventually retired. 3 races remain, who can end the season on a high and who is already looking forward to 2020?

Top 10 - 1. Hamilton, 2. Vettel, 3. Bottas, 4. Leclerc, 5. Albon, 6. Verstappen, 7. Perez, 8. Ricciardo, 9. Gasly, 10. Hulkenberg

USA GP

Last year Raikkonen was the popular victor in Austin for what was his last win for the Scuderia. He held off Verstappen and Hamilton. This year Hamilton is aiming to win his 6th world title at the event - of which he has won 5 out of the last 7 times. Will this be his crowning moment? It's a race you don't want to miss!

2019 podium prediction - 1. Leclerc, 2. Hamilton, 3. Vettel

Fantasy Game

Hamilton finished exactly 100 points clear of the next best placed driver in Leclerc, 306 compared to 206 for the Ferrari driver. However, the margin was much smaller between the 4 drivers after the Brit, with just 20 points separating Leclerc, Vettel, Verstappen and Bottas in that order. Perez and Ricciardo were the class of the midfield runners this time out, each into the 140 points mark thanks partly due to gained positions bonuses. At the other end of the spectrum Norris was the bottom placed driver this round with just 58 points with Raikkonen next with 65 after his second retirement of the season. It has been a tough time for the Finnish driver on the anniversary of his last victory as he hasn't finished inside the points since the Hungarian GP in August. Will his loyal fanbase of owners consider shipping him out for a more in-form alternative? My tips - Leclerc (£14.56M), Albon (£9.64M), Sainz (£8.20M). The bonus selections were as follows for the Mexican GP - winning margin: 5 seconds or less, lead lap drivers: 8, first retirement: Norris, fastest pit stop: Ferrari.
