Most people will be familiar with the concept of
'Fantasy Leagues'. It adds a whole new level of entertainment to your
favourite spectator sports. Fantasy RACERS offers you just that in the
world of Formula 1 motor racing.
The format of the game is simple. You start with a budget of 40.0m which you
use to buy drivers to represent your team in each of the races during the
year. Your choice of drivers will be influenced by their fictitious 'price'
which we have assigned to each of them for the purposes of this competition.
You can pick as many drivers as you like as long as the total cost of your
drivers does not exceed your team budget.
Drivers values can change at any time and will fluctuate based on their
popularity amongst our players. The more times that a driver is selected the more
expensive they will become, with the less popular drivers getting cheaper. The
price you pay for a driver will not change from the point you select them for your team,
although your overall budget will be adjusted at the point you transfer them out. For example:-
You select Timo Glock at 7.0m at the beginning of the season. He doesn't have
a great start so after the opening race his value has dropped to 6.0m. You choose to
get rid of him, so when you take him out of your team your available funds are increased
by 6.0m, leaving your overall team budget at 39.0m.
or
You select Timo Glock at 7.0m at the beginning of the season. He has a great start
and wins the opening race. Everybody starts adding him to their team and before we get
to Race 2 his value is up to 8.1m. You think it was a fluke and drop him so your available
funds are increased by 8.1m. Your overall team budget becomes 41.1m.
All selected drivers will score points for your team based on their
performance in each race, as set out on the 'How to Score' page. If your driver
does not race you will not score any points in respect of that driver.
You are able to make as many changes to your driver lineup as you like,
as often as you like during the course of the F1 Season. However please
note that the 'cut-off' for any changes is 17:00 UK time on the Friday
before each race weekend. Any changes (or new entries) will still be
accepted by the system but these will not be recognised for the current
race weekend.
